Ease muscle pain with these essential oils

The practice of yoga brings so many wonderful benefits into our lives, but sometimes we feel a little worse for the wear at the end of class. Like your teacher has probably told you – it is not good on any level to just grin, bear it, and/or push through the pain. When that happens, you quickly lose your focus and are left with a body in dire need of attention.

If you’re sore from a tough yoga class, you can aid your recovery by making it regular habit to soak in the bathtub with essential oils. You can use essential oils and unscented bath salts to create a real treat for your muscles and joints. The combination of heat, water, salt and essential oils is an excellent restorative formula for your tired body. The key in the bath is to make sure the oils are diluted in a carrier oil, the bath salt, or both. For maximum effectiveness, make sure the water is at a temperature that you can soak in for a minimum of 15 to 20 minutes.

Good essential oils for easing muscle pain: eucalyptus, chamomile, lavender, peppermint and ginger. Oils like these have been used for years in both bath and massage formulas.
