Trisha DeCesare's approach to teaching is upbeat and playful, which is great if you tend to take yourself too seriously in yoga and in life. Her voice and charisma command the room, and it is apparent that she is in her element when she is teaching. Even though her Yoga Basics / Level 1 class is tailored to newbies (and she does an exceptional job of attending to those who need some extra assistance), the seasoned yogi can benefit the fundamentals of this class as well. There's a beautiful simplicity found in her slower-paced, virtually vinyasa-less class that takes us back to the basics. To boot, Trisha is a certified restorative yoga teacher and Reiki Master, which might explain why the savasanas in her class are like no other. If you want more where that came from, Trisha teaches a restorative roga class at InYoga as well. In fact, on the last Friday of each month it features Yoga Nidra, which is an ancient form of meditation that takes you into deep levels of relaxation.
