Get ready to find your center: Robyn Bennett's Vinyasa Flow & Kundalini class is more a lesson in meditation than a sweaty physical practice. Robyn invites you to take class with your eyes closed to allow your practice "to truly be your practice." She starts things off with some approachable breathwork and chanting (just a couple of oms) before getting into about 20 minutes of a light vinyasa flow. Once things are warmed up, Robyn dives into the meat of the class: Kundalini-style moving meditations (think repetitive movements for a few minutes at a time – almost like a physical mantra to help focus your mind). These flows can still be a bit strenuous (it's not so easy to float your arms above your head for four minutes!), and will definitely challenge you to keep calm inside. Finally, Robyn wraps up with a few chants. While the chanting can often be intimidating, she leads loudly and also plays the chants on her iPod – so no worries if you're no X Factor hopeful. Although this class structure is very different from most, Robyn makes everything approachable and always reminds students, "If you're having a hard time finding that place of nirvana, just raise a hand. My name's Robyn and I'll be happy to take you there."
