When people ask what style we teach at Strala, we simply say, we teach yoga here. Moving and breathing while resting your attention on the breath. Classes at Strala are STRONG, which are a great workout for the body and mind. STRONG classes build strength, balance, and flexibility evenly in the body while cultivating focus and attention. RELAX classes combine slower movements that get the body warm and moving, while simultaneously making space for deep relaxation, allowing the body and mind to open and settle.
I think people love that we have a good time. It takes the pressure off. We teach good yoga but we have a very laid-back vibe and I play a lot of fun music. I’m currently obsessed with Eddie Vedder and Dolly Parton.
My good friends Tao Porchon-Lynch, the 92-year-old yoga master, and Deepak Chopra are big influences, mentors, and inspire me all the time to keep looking inward and know that everything I need is right there inside.
