My approach may change, but my intention is to offer a warm, welcoming space with a challenging yet accessible, safe and joyous practice as the foundation. My studio classes are playful, flowing vinyasa practices, most often partnered with music – drawing on my background as a dancer. I’m also an energy worker, so I can’t help but feel the vibe of a room, and be moved to use different healing modalities to open up, shift or amplify the energy of the space.
I want each person to feel stagnant energy shift, and be able to tap into what it is to actually feel energy freely flow through his or her being, creating the space for quiet contemplation and meditation.
I’m inspired by the journey – we learn (or unlearn) as much as we can so that ultimately we can look for the answers within and trust the universe enough to move in the direction that just plain feels right. For me, that work started on my mat, and I am so very grateful that I get to be a part of my students’ journeys.
My parents were my first teachers in unconditional love. My dance and acting teachers were my first influences in speaking my truth, specifically Ann Bergeron, who brought the two worlds together and taught me storytelling with my body. Mynx Inatsugu guided me into yoga as a healing practice for my injuries and the stories behind them. Jeanne Daniels has been my guide and mentor in understanding and embracing the world of energetic healing. I’m also grateful to Matthew Reyes for seeing a teacher in me. And I’m thankful for the amazing yoga teachers in our community.
