It’s no secret that Jennifer Aniston loves yoga, so we weren’t surprised to hear that she doubled her yoga sessions with Mandy Ingber’s Yogalosophy when she got ready for her role as a stripper. We’ll never have a body like Jen’s—and that’s fine—but we’re all for doing more yoga to boost our health and self-confidence. If you’re looking to kick up your yoga practice to feel more comfortable at the beach, check out Jennifer Aniston’s yoga secrets below.

Kick it up a notch

So, how did Jennifer get ready for her role as a stripper in We’re the Millers? She hit the mat. The actress says she asked Mandy to bump up her practice to help her stay fit and was quoted as saying “You get up into my age and you’ve gotta do a little bit more.”

The secret weapon

Jennifer credits her rocking bod to her trainer and yoga teacher Mandy Ingber. While we can’t hook you up with private sessions with Mandy (we would if we could), we’ve got the next best thing: Mandy’s new book Yogalosophy is a 28-day mind-body makeover that not only has a plan to help you get fit, but also to make you love the body you have.

Mandy in action

Molly Nourmand, alignyo’s LA editor has been covering Mandy’s work for some time. “One of the reasons we think Mandy Ingber is so great is because she’s fun, calm and collected. She’s the kind of teacher that makes you feel safe enough to try any pose”.

Check her out trying to get Chelsea Handler and her team to do yoga on Chelsea Lately. We also think this video from Mandy on inversion variations speaks to her character. She admits that she doesn’t do inversions (shocker) and shows two poses that help you get the benefits of turning upside down without rocking a full headstand.
