After my days at lululemon, I can’t help but get excited about the latest in the ‘athleisure’ wear trend, a retail category making up 17% of all retail sales last year. It combines athletic apparel and leisurewear, think yoga pants meets a cute cotton t-shirt on top. Sitting in the billion dollar sales territory, it’s a pretty BIG trend to keep an eye out for. I love watching what’s coming next and was excited and frankly a little surprised that the latest cutting edge line comes from Athleta.
