"I don't have time to meditate" is often the response when I ask people if they practice. And almost always the words are said with stress and anxiety.

I recently read a few lines in Wherever you go there you are by Jon Kabat-Zinn that frames this question of available time with such simplicity, that I wanted to share.

#IWD2017 -- I'm never a big fan of the word "should" in life. It feels forced and in a weird way, judgemental. Why do I get to tell you what you 'should' do? Since taking SHOULD out of my vocabulary, I find myself looking for another word to replace this nudge. Yet, interestingly by the time I find the word to replace 'should', the need to tell someone what to do has dissipated.

I’ve always loved the start of a new year – so much so that I used to ring it in with an impressive list of all the wonderful things I was going to achieve in the next 365 days. Over time, I began to realize that many of the resolutions and goals I was setting tended to carry over from year to year or just get lost in the shuffle. More important, I wasn’t experiencing the big, bold changes that I wanted to see in my life. Sound familiar?
