The real truth about carbs

General by

Love carbs? Good, because your body needs them. Read on for the truth about carbs from Greatist.

Carbs are important. In fact, it’s very easy to argue that carbohydrates (mostly the right kind, more on that in a moment) are essential to your diet. And lumping all carbs together into one category is like saying all the Baldwin brothers are the same. (Sorry, Billy. No offense.)

Is bamboo really eco-friendly?

General by Ethical Ocean

Bamboo clothing might not be as eco-friendly as we once thought. Our friends at Ethical Ocean explain why.

In the past decade we’ve seen the rise of textiles made from bamboo. A few slinky and ultra soft ‘bamboo’ shirts and dresses have made their way into my wardrobe. However, those buttery smooth pieces are now coming under scrutiny and the green image that was synonymous with so-called bamboo fabrics has been all but shattered.

Skip coffee and chew gum?

As yogis, we're super aware of what we put into our bodies. It's true that after a peaceful class, the first thing that you go for might not be a large double espresso latte. BUT, if it came in the form of a chewing gum, would you be more tempted? A little kick - no after taste? Just a quick pop and you're right back to your caffinated state?

Seems like a super strange concept so we looked to our friends over at Blisstree to break it down:
