If you’re into natural health and beauty, you’ve probably heard of apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar is made from apples and is often praised for its vast amount of healthy uses. We love apple cider vinegar and take a shot everyday.  It’s a versatile product that can be used in food (it gives homemade salad dressings a delicious tangy flavor) and on your skin to help you glow from the inside out. Here are a few reasons why we've been adding it to our diets lately.  

5 healthy benefits of apple cider vinegar:

Soothes muscles

Move over, bananas. Apple cider vinegar is rich in potassium, which prevents muscles from cramping. If your muscles often tense up after yoga, you may want to give it a try to see if it eases your pain.  

Easy daily detox

In addition to twisting on your mat to cleanse your body of impurities, you can also consume apple cider vinegar regularly to help detoxify.  

Clears skin

Apple cider vinegar has also been known to improve skin conditions such as acne and varicose veins.  

Fights inflammation

It can also ease joint pain, including arthritis, because it is anti-inflammatory. 

Improves digestion

Above all, apple cider vinegar boosts digestion. Because it contains malic acid, it can aid in digestive issues ranging from a little indigestion to acid reflux.  

Easy healthy apple cider vinegar drinks 

Most importantly, make sure you buy unfiltered, unpasteurized raw apple cider vinegar. Processed vinegar won’t have the same healthy effects (we like Bragg’s brand, which you can find at most health food stores). 

Add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to a glass of water before every meal, in the morning before breakfast or at night before you go to bed. 

During the chillier months, prepare a mug of hot tea and add 3 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar to the tea, plus a little honey for taste. We've starting making this a routine and are already witnessing the positive effects.
